The proposed development is for a dual access site which will preserve the existing two storey terrace fronting onto Queensberry Street and add a townhouse to the rear of the property with direct access to Jones Lane.
The existing terrace will retain its current retail area at street level with a revised entry sequence that improves the sense of address and street presence for both the retail and existing dwelling (behind and above). The internal features will be renovated with the facade of the building retained to form a three bedroom dwelling (currently 4 bedrooms) with improved outlook and amenity.The rear townhouse will be a three storey, 3 bedroom dwelling. The building will be a modern, interpretive design with respect to the form and materiality of its heritage context.
