We see this project as a benchmark for harnessing the synergies between living, working, and social spaces - an engine room for driving diversity and regeneration that is inherently urban, but which also connects us to the natural and to each other.

a new masterplan in malaysia

This riverside site was once a water treatment facility supplying drinking water to a neighbouring city. Developed in association with Architectus, together with Aspect and EcoHarvest, the Concept Masterplan proposes a new future built around a simple central proposition: Let's work with nature, not against it.

approach

design excellence

we combine design excellence with expertise in project delivery and we think laterally to find unique solutions to the specific needs of each project

creating better places to live

we are committed to making our cities better places to live. To facilitate an enriching and adaptive way of living which is inherently urban but which also connects us to the natural and to each other.

innovation

we are innovators always looking for ways to optimise the design and construction process to achieve savings, deliver greater quality, and enhance environmental performance.

the power of ideas

we believe in the power of ideas, informed by rigorous analysis, and that through collaboration and discourse, great outcomes are achievable under a shared vision of the future.

a sustainable future

we seek an architecture that engages with its urban, social, and historical context. It should be inherently driven by performance, structural legibility, spatial and organisational clarity and it should delight, inspire, and surprise.

working together

we are good listeners who understand that great projects come together through the efforts, energy, and skill of many hands working together toward a common goal.

what we do

architecture + Design

Urban Creative was formed by Andrew Milward-Bason and Greg Pitts who have over 25 years experience between them, working on award winning projects both here and internationally. In this time they have worked on a wide range of architectural projects, from single dwellings for private clients through multi-dwelling and mixed use development, retail, university buildings, transport and commercial architecture.

industrial design

Whilst our core focus is on architecture, Urban Creative is fundamentally about making and innovation and we like to get involved at all levels of design. We will soon be launching a new lighting design range called lumen, and will continue to develop and release new designs on an ongoing basis.

urban + design

Both Greg and Andrew have worked on a number of masterplanning and urban design projects from city blocks to university urban campuses, to re-imagining of whole sections of cities and towns.

“Construction is the art of making a meaningful whole out of many parts.”
– Peter Zumthor
